RecyClass brings together members and supporters from across the whole plastics value chain to work on the two goals that are at the core of its strategy:
- To develop the correct way to approach and evaluate the recyclability of plastic packaging via harmonization of the Design for Recycling Guidelines, standardizing methodologies for assessing innovative technologies and certification of the final packaging recyclability.
- To harmonize the approach towards the verification of recycled content, by assessing the traceability of recycled material across the different stages of the value chain and developing the Recycled Content Certification.
RecyClass membership is open to all companies and organisations working within the plastic industry. If you would like to join RecyClass, please contact us.
Members of RecyClass receive guidance on the recyclability and compatibility of a given package with recycling. In addition, certain certification management fees as well as reports on recycling policy, training programs and company exposure are included within the membership. Platinum Members can participate in the Advisory Board and Technical Committees of RecyClass, and with this membership level, one management fee per year for a technology or product approval is offered.
