Advisory board

Composed of Platinum Member representatives. It monitors the work of RecyClass and proposes new activities in line with the latest market developments.

Certification bodies

Decoration taskforces

Working under the umbrella of the Technical Committees, two dedicated taskforces focus on decoration applied on rigid or flexible packaging, respectively.  Those groups aim to map, define and evaluate the compatibility with recycling of all the existing decorative technologies available on the EU market.

Recycled Plastics Taskforce

The main focus of this group is the development of Recycling Process and Recycled Plastics Traceability Certification Schemes, with the aim of harmonising the approach to the traceability of the origin of plastic waste and of the plastic material throughout the value chain. The overall goal is to set benchmarks for the traceability and calculation of recycled content in plastic products.

Recycling Claims Taskforce

Linked to the certification schemes, RecyClass aims to create a level-playing field in Europe by providing guidance on how to communicate transparently on certified recyclability and recycled content of plastics.

Sorting Taskforce

The Sorting Taskforce works independently from the Technical Committees and focuses on the sorting step of the waste management system. Sortability is a key component in determind the recyclability of plastic packaging.

Developing and maintaining the Sorting Evaluation Protocol for all plastic packaging is the main task of the group. This protocol provides a standardised approach to assess sortability and serves as a basis for specific test campaigns requested by the other working groups.
