A Technology Approval is granted to a company upon completion of testing in accordance with RecyClass Recyclability Evaluation Protocols. It confirms the full or limited compatibility of a technology with a specific recycling stream, enabling companies to make Business-to-Business (B2B) claims about the recyclability of their product. Companies looking to make Business-to-Consumer claims would need to undergo a Recyclability Certification.
The Technology Approvals are granted by the RecyClass Technical Committees and conducted in collaboration with RecyClass Testing Facilities.
TECHNOLOGY APPROVAL PROCESS
WHO CAN APPLY?
Technology Approvals are intended for companies seeking to test the recyclability of product features not yet covered by the RecyClass Design for Recycling Guidelines. If the Guidelines fully cover the product features, the company can apply directly for a Recyclability Certification.
If you would like to test the recyclability of a technology and obtain a Technology Approval, fill out the form below.
