Recycled Content Certification
The RecyClass Recycled Plastics Traceability Certification was established to harmonize the approach towards assessment of the recycled content of products for companies making environmental claims. The Certification is granted based on the Audit Scheme requirements and it is governed via Certification’s Quality Management Systems and Processes.
The Recycled Content Certification aims at recognising use of recycled plastics in compounds, products or semi-finished products and is destined to companies using recycled material who want to guarantee the origins and traceability of their material along the whole value chain. The Certification focuses on the traceability of the material in the different process steps that must be verified throughout the whole chain of custody of the material. It verifies the calculation of recycled content shares (pre- and post-consumer).
The Certification is granted after the auditor successfully carries out the on-site audit. The Certificate’s validity is one year. After that, the audit will be renewed. Final Certificates are issued by independent recognised Certification Bodies. To get certified, you are invited to contact one of the Certification Bodies listed below who will guide you through the process.
